In recent years, participating in the stock market has become open to the massive without using a stockbroker. The question is, does the average Joe understands the platform he is risking his fund? In the advent of the internet, you can learn anything about anything. However, are unsophisticated consumers truly benefiting from entering the stock game without any proper guidance. Some investment firms still offer some level of support if you need to under the terminologies and how to buy or sell your stock. Those companies are at the top of the food chain. What about the newer, smaller companies getting into the game, how are consumers being protected?
